Land Use Protection Trust

MISSION: To protect property, value, and character of lands of Eastern Sandoval County Communities through activities and actions that ensure the purpose, intent and integrity of zoning ordinances and state and federal laws are consistently enforced.

PURPOSE: The Land Use Protection Trust (LPT) supplements ES -CA to robustly oppose any land use that threatens to adversely change the value, character, resources, natural environment, and livability of our communities.

– We believe residents should feel confident that governance will enforce zoning ordinances, the Placitas Area Plan, and other regulatory instruments with consistency and diligence to protect property values and provide continuation of the historical attributes of the Placitas area.

– When effective and reliable representation and enforcement of regulatory instruments are not sufficient, we will use legal services, lobbying, and other actions to protect our interests. The LPT will not draw from the ES -CA general operating fund but will solicit funding from interested parties to accomplish its mission.
