Here is the latest photo of the Fisher property, as of 2-26-12. The County’s notice of violation had given Fisher until this date to remove the equipment and the mined material. As this photo shows, much of that still remains on the site.

Almost two weeks have gone by since the County was supposed to have Fisher move out. Anything new at this point, as of March 8, 2012?
Fisher Sand & Gravel has removed the asphalt plant equipment from the site along I-25, just south of Hwy. 165. The efforts of ES-CA members, working along with Sandoval County Manager Phil Rios and County staff, were crucial in reaching this welcome outcome. Mr. Rios has informed ES-CA representatives that the County is working with Fisher on a schedule for restoration of the site.
thanks for th update—but I’ll admit I’m confused. This item says some equipment still remains, but the e-mail I just received from ES-CA says:”Fisher Sand & Gravel has removed the asphalt plant equipment from the site along I-25, just south of Hwy. 165.”
Are we out of the proverbial woods now on that ashphalt plant?
I do see that the restoration work is still not done, and hope Mr. Rios continues his follow-up on that.
Thanks.
Between February 26th and March 8th, the remainder of the equipment was removed. The aggregate mined from the site, that was also supposed to be removed by February 27th, still must be removed and the site restored including seeding.
